LONDON PROJECT

The moment we heard about Ben and Laura’s plans for their acreage property amongst the gum trees, we knew it was the project for us.

From the outset we understood they had a very specific aesthetic in mind for this sprawling 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom home covering 600m2.

Ben and Laura were very clear, they wanted to create an ‘anti-Hamptons’ contemporary industrial masterpiece. Something to stand-out amongst the surrounding properties in the leafy Brisbane suburb of Chandler.

This property is a textural masterpiece, combining timber, stone, reclaimed brick, formed concrete and a Monument Matt 320 Highland Tray feature roof. This is complemented by the custom board and batten exterior wall cladding – a design feature created by the CJH team to minimise exterior cladding costs whilst replicating the ‘Highland Tray’ roofing profile.

The exterior façade has almost too many stand-out features to mention, including the grand floating concrete entry steps, Knotwood feature battens and soffits, and stone clad chimney – informed by architectural homes in Queenstown, New Zealand which influenced much of the project.

Overall, this home has unmistakable character and impact. It nestles perfectly in its acreage setting, making a confident architectural statement.

“CJH Projects completed our project with outstanding professionalism, craftsmanship and attention to detail reflecting Carl and his team’s high standard of workmanship.

Carl and Chelsea provided regular updates ensuring we were always informed of progress and any changes throughout, and went above and beyond to keep within budget.

Ben and I could not be happier with our renovation which has exceeded our expectations”.
